The fact is that Reno is famous for its casinos. Some of the first casinos in Nevada were built there, when this entire gaming industry was allowed there in the thirties of the last century. Reno is also famous for being very easy to get divorced. It used to take six months. But there they signed a law and instead of 6 months, the process began — 6 weeks. Many couples came, lived there in hotels to get divorced, and then left for their homes. Reno is very cool, even because it is the largest small city, which means there is a nightlife.
It takes about 2 hours to get from Rеno, but in fact it will take you half a day.
When you head to the desert, to this festival, you have to take absolutely everything with you
There is nothing in the desert, but you need there: eat, drink, sleep. Provisions are needed, so you need to shop at your local Walmart. Buy a bike, preferably in advance. Do all this online, just to come and pick up your order.
About 70,000 people come to the festival and the bulk, not all of course, but most are purchased in Walmart. The sections in which you want to find your products are almost empty. Some go shopping to California, but the journey takes 2 hours.
At the entrance there is a small town called Gerlach
The bulk of Gerlach’s economy is built on the people who come to the event. There they live, refuel at a gas station, where of course — gasoline is more expensive than elsewhere. In my opinion, the most expensive gasoline in America. They buy used bicycles, often take food, more water than needed. Local stores do not accept returns this week. Even if the things were new, the packaging was not opened — it will not be returned.
The last two years there has been no festival, so Gerlach, I can imagine how he suffers. The police issue fines for all offenders on the road. You drive along a picturesque place and look on the map, which is very close to the place, you are already overwhelmed with emotions, someone has already opened a beer in the car and turned on the music. And there, along the bypass road, the speed limit is 70, 50, 35 and 25 miles.
Again, the economy of this city is based on how many fines will be issued to you, how many products and things you buy there.
Although the Burning Man was held unofficially in 2021, everyone was happy
From the fact that we have arrived in this dust, many are already familiar with everything around. Mountains, sand, it’s right now to flop down and wallow in this sand. Black Rock City is the name of the place in the desert where everything happens.
When you exit the main road, there is a 5 mph speed limit if officially enacted. This year there was no organization, people did what they wanted, cars drove in the zone where you need to travel 5 miles — 60 or more. It created a certain beauty.

Bring all the provisions yourself, where you will sleep, what to ride, what to eat, drink, dress — it’s all entirely up to you. Nobody owes you anything!
Third, you participate in absolutely everything.
You become a full-fledged citizen of this community. Not that you come and see what the weirdo is doing, no.
But this does not mean that if you are offered drugs or have sex, you must agree. Say no, it’s okay.
Fourth rule. No means no, yes means yes. I don’t remember what year it was, there was such a camp, you go in and there they stretch the film like condoms. Through it, you kiss with absolutely strangers. My friend refused, and that’s okay.
Fifth, the main thing that affects burning MAN is not to leave any trash behind.That is, we come to the desert where there is nothing, nothing grows and does not live there, nothing happens at all. You pour water on the floor, the water is not absorbed, but immediately turns into clay and lies on the surface. It also sounds like this – when we leave, we leave everything in its original form. This taught me a lot.
Intimacy
It is allowed to bring children to Burning MAN. There is no age limit for you to understand.
All tents with adult entertainment are clearly marked and children are no longer allowed there.
There are tents where girls offer sex, but keep in mind what kind of girls are there …
There are camps where orgies take place, you can come with your girlfriend. There simply beds are made, or there is a separate room where you come and change partners there.

Although, there are a lot of interesting things that do not fit into the usual framework.All intimate things are held in closed tents, closed tents. There are sports camps, sports yoga. You can rent a bike, again for free.
Dogs were seen at the unofficial Burning Man 2021, and it is forbidden to bring them with you. We saw motorcycles, cars drove in the wrong places where they were supposed to ride. The rest was all the same as usually happens. The same decorated people, the same cool music, there were almost no sober people.
We brought interesting cars and interesting music with us. But not without incident.
Since there were almost no toilets this year. Long lines gathered to them, the guys had to relieve themselves in jars and stand in line with them in their hands. The girls used cat litter buckets.
